Dear friend,
Sometimes healing looks like deep journaling or early bedtime routinesā¦And sometimes it looks like standing in your kitchen with a wooden spoon and a bubbling pot of soup that feels like a hug from the inside out. š¤
This recipe was born out of one of those slower daysāwhen I had leftover roast chicken and wanted something both nourishingĀ and comforting.Ā Something that would feed the body andĀ the soul. And thatās exactly what this stew does.
Itās rich in minerals and flavor, grounded in healing ingredients, and simple enough to throw together on a busy evening. Plus, itās the perfect way to use up that last bit of roast chicken or leftover veggies in the fridge. šš¼

Letās make a meal that reminds your body it's safe now.
4ā6 generous servings
š Ingredients
2ā3 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
2ā3 tbsp butterĀ (or avocado oil or olive oil)
1 small shallot or ½ onion, finely diced
2ā3 cloves garlic, minced
2ā3 medium carrots, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1ā2 small potatoes, diced (Yukon Gold or red work great)
Optional: 1 small zucchini, ½ cup peas, or summer squash
2ā3 cups chicken meat stockĀ (see this postĀ for how to make it)
1 cup creamĀ or whole milkĀ (sub coconut milk for dairy-free)
1 tbsp arrowroot or tapioca starch powderĀ (or flour of choice) to thicken
Salt and pepper to taste
šæ Herbs & Spices That Make It Magical:
1 tsp dried thyme
½ tsp sage
½ tsp turmeric (optional, but anti-inflammatory!)
¼ tsp paprika
1 tsp parsleyĀ (fresh or dried)
Dash of nutmegĀ (trust meāitās the pot pie secret!)
Optional: a small bay leaf while simmering (remove before serving)
š² Instructions
SautĆ© the aromatics:In a large pot, melt the butter (or warm oil) over medium heat. Add the shallot or onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. SautĆ© until softened and fragrant, about 5ā7 minutes.
Add potatoes and optional veggies: Stir in the diced potatoesĀ and any optional veggies like zucchini, peas, or summer squash. Cook for 2ā3 minutes to begin softening.
Add meat stock and simmer: Pour in the meat stockĀ and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10ā15 minutes, or until potatoes are fork-tender.
Add chicken and cream: Stir in the cooked chickenĀ and your choice of cream, whole milk, or coconut milk. Let everything simmer gently together for another 5ā10 minutes.
Add herbs and spices: Stir in thyme, sage, paprika, parsley, nutmeg, turmericĀ (if using), and salt and pepper to taste. You can add a bay leafĀ at this stage, just remember to remove it before serving.
Optional thickening: If youād like a thicker stew, mix arrowroot powderĀ or tapioca starch with a few tablespoons of cool water or milk to make a slurry. Stir this into the stew and let it simmer for a few more minutes until it thickens.
Taste and serve: Adjust seasoning if needed, then serve hot or allow to cool and store as a freezer meal.

š„ Optional Pairings:
Gluten-free flatbreadĀ for dipping
A small bowl of fermented veggiesĀ or sauerkrautĀ on the side
A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil or a dollop of yogurt or sour cream on top for extra richness

I own a rental property and the previous tenants had a large dog that left hair everywhere. I needed to get the unit ready for new tenants immediately. I searched for Professional pet hair removal services. The team was very efficient, removing the odor and the fur from the carpets and drapes. They sanitized the space completely, removing all traces of the previous pet. It allowed me to list the property again quickly with confidence that it was clean.
We wanted a classic cedar deck for our backyard. We prefer the look and smell of natural wood over composite. We searched for local deck builders Mt Prospect, IL. The carpentry work they did was outstanding; the joinery is tight and the finish is smooth. They applied a high-quality sealant to protect the wood. The deck looks beautiful and natural, blending perfectly with our garden.
Using technology to increase access to youth mental health support may offer a practical way for young people to reach guidance, safe-spaces, and early help without feeling overwhelmed by traditional systems. Digital platforms, helplines, and apps could give them a chance to seek support privately, connect with trained listeners-orexplore resources that might ease their emotional load. This gentle shift toward tech-based support may encourage youth to open-up at their own pace, especially when in-person help feels too heavy to approach.
There is always a chance that these tools-quietly make support feel closer than before, creating moments where help appears just a tap away. Even a small digital interaction might bring a sense of comfort. And somewhere in that space, youā¦
Detailed and practical, this guide explains concrete rebar in a way that feels approachable without oversimplifying. The step by step clarity is especially useful for readers new to the subject. I recently came across a construction related explanation on https://hurenberlin.comĀ that offered a similar level of clarity, and this article fits right in with that quality. Great Ų“ŁŲ® Ų±ŁŲŲ§ŁŁ resource. explanation feels practical for everyday rauhane users. I checked recommended tools on https://www.eljnoub.com
